The Chamber shall submit to the city a report at least <br /> quarterly of activities and expenditures resulting from previously <br /> allocated CVB funds. <br /> D. The Chamber shall use $10,000 of the funds allocated to <br /> it under this Agreement to contract with the San Marcos Hispanic <br /> Chamber of Commerce (the "Hispanic Chamber") for the promotion of <br /> Hispanic tourism and cultural events in San Marcos. The Chamber <br /> will ensure -that the mission of the Hispanic Chamber under the <br /> contract is to promote and attract local, state, national and <br /> international tourists to the city of San Marcos through trade show <br /> presentations and hosting special culturally rich events that <br /> , <br /> target the Hispanic market. The Chamber will ensure that the <br /> Hispanic Chamber accomplishes the following objectives under the <br /> contract: <br /> 1. Host the annual Mardi Gras "Carnival" event in February. <br /> - Coordinate a three day event (Thursday-Friday- <br /> Saturday) <br /> - Market the Event on a State Level <br /> - Projected Attendance of 5,000 People <br /> - Estimated overnight Stay of 5% <br /> 2. Produce and maintain marketing materials in spanish. <br /> - Produce and distribute a marketing video in spanish <br /> - Translate informational brochures to Spanish <br /> - Produce a Hispanic Chamber brochure in English & <br /> Spanish <br /> - Coordinate marketing presentations in Mexico <br /> 3. Attend trade shows targeting international tourists <br /> - Attend TAMACC meetings & convention <br /> - Attend the u.S. National Association convention <br /> - Attend international trade shows <br /> - Purchase advertisements in international publications <br />
