Douglas Beckett, 714 Barbara, addressed the Council regarding Cape's Camp and asked that the <br />Council protect this piece of property and asked that the Council make wise decisions. <br />Nancy McClintock, 108 Howard Place, addressed the Council regarding the Retreat at Willow <br />Creek and her concerns about ensuring that there is a harmonious transition between properties. <br />She would like to see the buffer increased. <br />Diana Garcia, 1015 Barbara Drive, addressed the Council regarding Cape's Camp and would <br />hate to see the ascetics of that area taken away by a development. <br />Ethan Pfeffer, 1441 Leah Ave. #2305B, addressed the Council Cape's Camp and believed that <br />this was a misuse of this land. <br />Betty Richards, 123 Rivera, addressed the Council regarding Cape's Camp and stated that you <br />don't build on this property. <br />Consent Agenda <br />8. Consider approval of the December 4, 2012 Regular Meeting Minutes. <br />9. Consider approval of Ordinance 2012 -54, on the second of two readings, approving the <br />abandonment of a 445 x 50 section of Rush Haven between Golden Shadow and <br />Morning Shadow, Morning Shadow between Newberry Trail and Trestle Tree <br />consisting of a total of 643 feet and of a width varying from 50 feet to 80 feet, and a 50 x <br />84 section of Trestle Tree adiacent to Morning Shadow; approving the conveyance of <br />the portions of these streets to the owner or owners of property abutting the streets <br />subiect to a reservation of a public utility easement; authorizing the City Manager to <br />execute one or more quitclaim deeds to such abutting owners; and declaring an effective <br />date. <br />1O.Consider approval of Ordinance 2012 -55, on the second of two readings, approving the <br />abandonment of a 0.076 acre portion of South Fredericksburg Street at the northwest <br />corner of Centre Street and South Fredericksburg Street, and south of the intersection <br />with Valley Street; approving the conveyance of a portion of this street to the owner or <br />owners of property abutting the street subject to a reservation of a public utility <br />drainage easement; authorizing the City Manager to execute one or more quitclaim <br />deeds to such abutting owners; and declaring an effective date. <br />11.Consider approval of Ordinance 2012 -57, on the second of two readings, amending the <br />City's 2012 -2013 Budget to budget expenditures in the total sum of $17,505.00 from <br />State Seized Asset Funds to purchase Net Motion software for the Police Department <br />Mobile Data Terminals in Police and Fire vehicles; and providing an effective date. <br />12.Consider approval of Resolution 2012 -160R adopting guiding principles for the 2013 <br />City of San Marcos Federal Policy Program; and declaring an effective date. <br />
