The recipient will be <br /> notified of any decision to terminate for the reasons <br /> described above and be allowed reasonable time, not to <br /> exceed 45 days, to terminate project operations. No <br /> termination shall affect obligations incurred in good faith <br /> prior to the receipt of notification of termination. <br /> otherwise allowable funds shall not be considered obligated <br /> solely by virtue of recipient commitment to participating <br /> agencies or project contractors for work or services not yet <br /> performed. . <br />10. The grantee shall submit a revised implementation plan <br /> within ninety (90) days of signing the award~ The revised <br /> implementation plan should reflect the project period. The <br /> plan will be reviewed and approved by the cOPS Office. The <br /> COPS Office will then issue a Grant Adjustment Notice (GAN) <br /> removing this special condition. <br />11. The purpose of COPS: Phase I is to hire or rehire sworn law <br /> enforcement officers as part of an overall plan or strategy <br /> to address crime and related problems through community <br /> policing. The goals of this program are to improve the <br /> long-term ability of law enforcement agencies to engage in <br /> community policing by deploying additional sworn law <br /> enforcement officers to perform those activities and to <br /> improve public safety through innovative crime prevention, <br /> including community policing. It is the expectation of the <br /> grantor agency that the purpose and the goals of this <br /> program will be furthered by the acceptance of this grant. <br /> Therefore the grantee agrees to implement activities, by <br /> utilizing this grant, which further the intended purpose of <br /> this program. <br />GRANTEE ACCEPTANCE OF SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br /> ~-----Jø. <br /> '-..)
