MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Thomaides and a second by Council <br />Member Scott, the City Council voted (7) for and none (0) opposed, to postpone until February <br />5, 2013. The motion carried. <br />5. Invocation <br />Pastor Tom Ray of Hill Country Church provided the invocation. <br />6. Pledtes of Allegiance - United States and Texas <br />Jack Murphy, a 4th grade student at Hernandez Elementary, led the assembly n d es of i the Pledges <br />Allegiance. <br />7. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Frances Breihan, 111 W. Hillcrest, addressed the Council regarding the presence of multifamily <br />in the community and stated that she felt that the Council had not done their duty to protect the <br />balance. She scolded the Council on their recent passage of the apartments to be placed on the <br />Cape's Camp property. <br />Thomas Rhodes, ETR Development Consulting, LLC Buda, TX, asked the Council to postpone <br />the Lazy Oaks Ranch Item until February 5, 2013. <br />Melissa Derrick, 109 Kathryn Cove, addressed the Council regarding the Dovetail Corporation <br />and stated that they are being sued in Knoxville, TN. She also stated issues that were currently <br />present in some of their other properties. She stated that she would love to see this land be zoned <br />commercial and a Carlos and Charlie's or something that will go in harmony with park use there <br />instead of apartments. <br />Joe Ptak, 505 Patricia, addressed the Council regarding the recent petition and would like the <br />Council to reconsider his ordinance regarding art and commercial vehicle ordinances. He stated <br />that they aren't going anywhere. He urged the Council to reconsider their previous actions <br />regarding the Junk Vehicle Ordinance. <br />Dianne Wassenich, 11 Tanglewood, addressed the Council on behalf of the San Marcos River <br />Foundation. She asked that the Council to reconsider their actions in regards to rezoning the <br />Cape's Camp property and to consider the recent allegations against Dovetail that were brought <br />forward. She also asked the Council to negatively consider the Lazy Oaks Development <br />Agreement. <br />Erin Wall, 955 Sycamore St, addressed the Council regarding the recent petition process and <br />thanked the City Clerk and her Staff for their overall pleasant attitude throughout the process. <br />Jaimy Breihan, 134 E. Hillcrest, addressed the Council regarding the disenfranchising of citizens <br />in San Marcos by building rent by the bedroom multifamily. He asked the Council to consider <br />what the Council's children will be looking at in the years to come. He does not want to see this <br />river become a dead river due to overdevelopment. <br />
