Service entrance cable (Article <br /> 338 NEC) will not be authorized unless protected by approved <br /> condui t. If the service entrance conduit is a service mast, <br /> then only two-inch or larger rigid metal conduit or <br /> intermediate metal conduit shall be used. <br /> (m) A minimum of one grounding conductor, sized <br /> according to the NEC, shall be installed in any field <br /> installed electrical conduit. This requirement is in <br /> addition to those prescribed by Article 250-75 of the NEC. <br /> (n) Flexible metal conduit (NEC Article 350) shall not be <br /> used in wet locations. <br /> Sec. 5-133. Electrical Contractor. <br /> (a) An electrical contractor shall display its company <br /> name and the license number of its master electrician in <br /> letters not less two (2) inches in height on both sides of <br /> all vehicles used by the contractor. <br /> (b) A master electrician may operate a~business as an <br /> electrical contractor, or an electrical contractor may <br /> employ a master electrician on a full-time basis. The <br /> master electrician shall supervise, direct and control the <br /> electrical work for the electrical contractor for whom the <br /> master electrician is employed. The master electrician <br /> shall register the electrièal contractor with the building <br /> official as the electrician I s employer. Notice of employment <br /> termination shall be given by the master electrician to the <br /> building official within five days. Such termination shall <br /> not terminate the responsibility of the master electrician <br /> and the contractor for completion of the electrical work for <br /> which a city permit was obtained. A master electrician <br /> shall not be employed by more than one electrical contractor <br /> at the same time. <br /> Sec. 5-134. Existing Buildings. <br /> If the occupancy classification of any existing building <br /> or structure as determined in the Standard Building Code, or <br /> its use as defined in the General Zoning Ordinance, is <br /> changed, then electrical equipment and systems shall be made <br /> to conform with of this Article before the new occupancy is <br /> instituted. <br /> Sec. 5-135. Liability. <br /> This Article does not lessen the responsibility of any <br /> person installing, operating or controlling any electric <br /> wiring or electrical apparatus for damages to anyone or for <br /> performance of a contract. Neither the city nor any officer <br /> or employee of the city assumes any liability by reason of <br /> inspection, certificate or permit pursuant to this Article. <br /> Division 2. Electrical Board <br /> Sec. 5-136. Electrical Board established; Membership and <br /> terms of board. <br /> (a) The Electrical Board is established. The Board shall <br /> consist of five (5) members, three (3) of whom shall <br /> constitute a quorum. A sixth member shall be appointed by <br /> the building official from the official's staff and shall <br /> have no voting rights. One member shall be a representative <br /> of the Electric utility Department nominated by the Electric <br /> utility Board and approved by the city council as provided <br />
