<br /> gti7 <br /> -3- <br /> (d) The quarantine may occur at any of the <br /> following locationsr subject to approval by <br /> the local health authority: <br /> (1) At a veterinary hospital; <br /> (2) At the city animal shelter; <br /> (3) At a kennel holding a currentr valid city <br /> permit. <br /> (e) Quarantine shall occur for at least (10) days <br /> for dogs, catsr and animals of the orders <br /> Marsupialiar Insectivora, Rodentiar Lagomrpcha <br /> and Xenarthra. <br /> (f) All animals not mentioned in subsection (e) <br /> but reported in accordance with Sec. 3-58 <br /> shall be humanely killed and sent to the Texas <br /> Department of Health for rabies testing or <br /> quarantined for 30 days at the discretion of <br /> the local health authority. <br /> (g) The owner of any animal quarantined in the <br /> city animal shelter shall pay an observation <br /> fee as set by city council by separate <br /> ordinance from time to timer in addition to <br /> all impoundment fees assessed under Section <br /> 3-42r regardless of the ultimate disposition <br /> of the animal. <br /> SECTION 9. That if any wordr phraser clauser sentencer or <br />paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or <br />invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining <br />provisions of this ordinance shall remain in effect as if the <br />unconstitutional or invalid portion had not been adopted. <br /> , <br /> SECTION 10. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br />conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 11. That any person violating any provision of this <br />ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon <br />conviction shall be subject to the penalty prescribed in Section <br />1-5 of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances. <br /> SECTION 12.
