MAY 22, 1993 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A g. :æ ~ t3B CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE THREE, . ESTABLISHING POLLING PLACES FOR THIS ELECTION; - MAKING PROVISIONS FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE ELECTION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That a special runoff election is ordered to be held by the city of San Marcos at the various polling places and election precincts within the corporate limits of the City on the 22nd day of May, 1993, from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at which election there shall be elected by the qualified voters of the city a city Council Member for Place Three, for a term of three years, in accordance with applicable provisions of the City Charter and State law. SECTION 2. That the election precincts for the City election shall be substantially the same precincts as those Hays County Election Precincts which are within the corporate limits of the city of San Marcos. SECTION 3. That the polling places for each precinct for this election shall be as follows: Precinct # Pollinq Place precinct# Pol1inq Place 111 Dunbar Center 120 C.M.Allen Homes Office 801 Martin Luther I 801 River Road King Drive 112 Guadalupe Hall 330 Lamar Middle School 218 Roosevelt st. 500 W. Hutchison st. 113 San Marcos High 334/445 San Marcos Public School Auditorium Library 1301 State Highway 300 West Hutchison st. 123 114 city Hall 336/451 Crockett Elementary 630 E. Hopkins st. School 1300 Girard st. 116 Westover Baptist 446 Travis Elementary School 1310 Bishop st. 1437 Old Post Road SECTION 4. That the City Council of the ci ty shall, by resolution duly adopted, appoint presiding judges and alternate judges to serve in this election at the polling places for the respective precincts set forth hereinabove, and it shall be each such judge's duty to hold the election in the respective precincts set forth hereinabove, and any vacancies occurring after the appointment of judges and alternate judges may be filled by subsequent resolution(s) of the city Council. SECTION 5. That each presiding judge may appoint up to two (2) clerks, and with the permission of the Çity Secretary, additional clerks, to serve for each precinct 'in this election. SECTION 6. That precincts numbered 111,112,113,114,116,120 330, 334/445, .336/451 and 446 shall be polling places for the special runoff election of the city.
