/111}- SECTION 7. That Janis K. Womack is appointed clerk for early voting for this election. SECTION 8. That the early polling place for early voting by personal appearance for this election is City Hall, 630 East Hopkins street in the City, and a temporary branch early polling place for early voting by personal appearance for this election is the Schoo 1 Administration Building,S 0 1 S. L. B. J. Drive in the city. Early voting by personal appearance at City Hall shall bè conducted during normal working days from May 10, 1993 through May 18, 1993, and the hours for early voting shall be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Early voting by personal appearance at the School Administration Building shall be conducted during normal working days from May 10, 1993 through May 18, 1993, and the hours for early voting shall be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday. SECTION 9. That early voting by mail ballot shall be conducted in accordance with applicable provisions of the Texas Election Code. The address of 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas, 78666, shall be the early voting clerk's mailing address to which ballot applications and ballots voted by mail may be sent. section 10. All early votes and other votes to be processed in accordance with early voting procedures pursuant to the' Texas Election Code shall be delivered to the Early voting Ballot Board at City Hall Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins Street in the City in accordance with the Election Code. Early votes shall be counted at the central counting station. The Early Voting Ballot Board shall perform in accordance with applicable provisions. of the Election Code. SECTION 11. That an electronic voting system, as the term is defined in the Texas Election Code, shall be utilized in connection with the election. This system shall be utilized for all early voting as well as for all precinct voting conducted on election day. Ramona Brown is hereby appointed as programmer, and she shall prepare a program for the automatic tabulating equipment. Ample voting equipment shall be provided for early voting and in each of the various precincts on election day. The central counting station is est,ablished as the Legal Department, San Marcos city Hall, 630 East Hopkins. SECTION 12. That the city Council of the City shall, by resolution, appoint a presiding judge and alternate judge of the Early Voting Ballot Board, a Presiding Judge of the Central Counting Station, a Tabulation Supervisor of the Central counting Station, and a Central Counting station Manager, and any and all assistants appointed by the Tabulation Supervisor shall be subject to the approval of the City Council. SECTION 13. That the election shall be held under, and in accordance with the provisions of, the Charter and Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, and in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. SECTION 14.' That a copy of thi~ Ordinance signed by the Mayor of the City, attested by, the City Secretary and approved by the City Attorney, shall serve as proper notice of the election. SECTION 15. That notice of the-election including a spanish tr.anslation thereof, shall be published at leas.t once ln a newspaper published in San Marcos on. or after May 3, 1993 and on or before May 12,. 1993, shall be posted. at ~ public place in each city election precinct in which the election is to be held on or before ~ay 7, 1993, and shall be . posted on the bulletin board at City Hall on or before May 7, 1993.
