Wholesale electrical sèrvice is provide::d to the:: City by the:: Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) which has <br /> diversific::d generation sources: hydro - II %; gas - 46%; coal - 43 %. The City's wholesale power agreement (thè "Whole::salè <br /> Power Agrec::ment") with LCRA was èxecuted by thè City on August 12, 1986, and was effective as of September 1, 1986. <br /> The \Vholèsale Power Agreement has a term of thirteen years from the effective date thereof and successive periods of ten years <br /> there::after unless either party has notifièd the other in writing prior to the end of thè eighth year of the original or succèssive <br /> agreeme::nt te::rm that it inte::nds to te::mùnate:: the:: agre::ement. Power is distributed throughout the City from four sub-stations, <br /> centrally locate::d to the service area. Dual feed with automatic switchover is available at site locations.
