IV <br /> The following information concerning the Water and Sewer Utilities is for general information purposes only. <br /> Waterworks System <br /> The City of San Marcos currently receives its total water supply from four existing wells tapping the Edwards Aquifer. The <br /> system is served from two pressure planes, the upper pressure plane serving the area above the Balcones Escarpment with the <br /> lower pressure plane serving the remainder of the City. The City's Waterworks System is comprised of three pump stations, <br /> two ground storage tanks and three elevated storage tanks.
