<br /> -10- <br />SECTION 3. That the ballots for the election called <br />hereunder shall conform to the requirements of the Texas Election <br />Code, and shall have the measures described herein stated as <br />propositions on such ballots as follows: <br /> Proposition No. 1 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Section 2.01 of the city <br /> Charter to delete an outdated reference to <br /> state law. <br /> Proposition No. 2. <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Section 3.04 of the City <br /> Charter to provide compensation to the Mayor <br /> and Council members on a per-meeting <br /> basis, and to provide health insurance <br /> benefits to council members. <br /> Proposition No. 3 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Section 3.11 of the City <br /> Charter to clarify the procedures for the <br /> passage of ordinances. <br /> Proposition No. 4 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Section 4.01 of the City <br /> Charter to require the city manager to <br /> reside within the City, and to clarify the <br /> city council's authority to remove the city <br /> manager. <br /> Proposition No. 5 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Section 4.02 of the City <br /> Charter to delete the outdated requirement <br /> that ordinances and resolutions be kept in <br /> the minute books of the city council. <br /> Proposition No. 6 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of section 5.03 of the City <br /> Charter to change the filing deadline for City <br /> Council candidates to comport with State law, <br /> and to require canidate applications to be <br /> filed with the city secretary. <br /> Proposition No. 7 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Sections 6.01 and 6.02 of the <br /> City Charter to require initiative and <br /> referendum petitions to be signed by at least <br /> ten per cent of the qualified voters of the <br /> city, or 250, whichever is greater. <br /> Proposition No. 8 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of Section 6.03 of the <br /> City Charter to require signatures on <br /> referendum and initiative petitions to be <br /> accompanied by all information called for by <br />
