<br /> -12- <br /> Proposition No. 17 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The amendment of section 12.12 of the City <br /> Charter to increase the number of persons on <br /> the Charter Review Commission from five to <br /> seven. <br /> Proposition No. 18 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST The lease of the baseball/softball complex in <br /> the Ramon Lucio Park to the Greater San Marcos <br /> Little League, Inc. for the purpose of <br /> conducting baseball and softball games under <br /> the Little League's supervision, subject to <br /> the following terms and conditions: <br /> (1) In consideration of the construction and <br /> operation by the League of a <br /> baseball/softball complex, including five <br /> fields, concession stand, restrooms, <br /> board room, storage facility, <br /> scoreboards, fencing, lights, dugouts, <br /> scorekeeping stands, and bleachers (the <br /> "Complex") at Ramon Lucio Park, City of <br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, City <br /> grants a lease of the complex to the <br /> League for baseball/softball games played <br /> under the supervision of the League. <br /> (2) The League will have exclusive use of the <br /> concession stand, restrooms, board room <br /> and storage facility year round and may <br /> allow use of these buildings by other <br /> programs with the League's permission. <br /> The lease period for the remainder of the <br /> Complex shall be from January 1 through <br /> August 15 of each year of the lease. The <br /> League may lease the entire Complex for <br /> the remainder of each year for a Fall <br /> baseball/softball program. The League <br /> shall provide written notice of its <br /> intent to conduct a Fall program to the <br /> City Parks and Recreation Director not <br /> later than August 1 of each year the <br /> program is to occur. <br /> (3) The term of this lease shall be for a <br /> period of twenty (20) years. <br /> (4) This lease shall constitute the grant to <br /> the League of an exclusive right to use <br /> the Complex from January 1 to August 15 <br /> each year and for the remainder of each <br /> year if a Fall program is conducted. <br /> Practice sessions, League games, <br /> associated League activities, and field <br /> preparation may be scheduled during this <br /> period. The League agrees that no inning <br /> in any game supervised by it shall be <br /> allowed to begin after midnight for Big <br /> League (ages 16-18) tournament games, or <br /> after 11:00 p.m. for all other games. <br /> The League agrees that the Complex may be <br /> used for other City-sanctioned youth <br /> activities or League approved youth <br /> activities during any Fall period when <br /> the League is not the exclusive user, <br /> provided that participants in these <br />
