<br /> CONSULTANT shall be responsible for the provision of a complete <br /> and accurate physical inventory of all City of San Marcos fixed assets, <br /> including land, buildings, vehicles, equipment, machinery and all other <br /> items as identified herein including the provision of original and <br /> replacement cost data. In the provision of these services, the <br /> CONSULTANT shall accomplish the objectives identified in Subparagraphs <br /> 2.2.1 through 2.2.4. <br /> 2.2 OBJECTIVES <br /> 2.2.1 Com~rehensive Property Record System <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall provide the City with a detailed fixed asset <br /> system, which will offer the following: <br /> (1)- Proper accountability and stewardship of assets owned. <br /> (2) Compliance with the requirements of GAAP and GAAFR. <br /> ( 3 ») A basis for projecting future capital replacement and <br /> addition expenditures. <br /> (4) Improved equipment utilization through control and <br /> identification of property. <br /> 2.2.2 Development of Accurate Insurable Values <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall develop and provide the City with accurate <br /> building and contents descriptions as well as replacement costs. The <br /> CONSULTANT shall also develop a system for perpetuating the above <br /> valuation conclusions and assist the CITY in ongoing proof-of-loss <br /> services in the event of a required claim against the CITY's insurance <br /> coverage. <br /> 2.2.3 System Conversion <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall provide system consultation, on an as needed <br /> basis, to ensure an easy and accurate conversion of collected data to <br /> the CITY's fixed asset software program. The CONSULTANT shall <br /> coordinate with the CITY's Information Services Department, in <br /> conjunction with the CITY's provider of fixed assets software, to <br /> ensure a smooth and orderly conversion. <br /> 2.2.4 Per~etuation and Maintenance Procedures <br /> <br /> The CONSULTANT shall recommend perpetuation and maintenance <br /> procedures during the physical inventory. <br />
