73 regular meeting february 9, 1981 page two The Mayor Pro-Tern then introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption of which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 0.5 ACRES OUT OF THE J .M. VER.Al-lENDI LEAGUE NO. TWO, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL-OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL). Mr. Cavazos moved to adopt the Ordinance on third and final reading. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor Pro-Tern introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption of which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF ACQUIRING CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY FOR A PUBLIC PURPOSE; DESCRIBING THE PROJECT FOR WHICH SAID PROPERTY IS TO BE ACQUIRED; DESCRIBING SAID PROPERTY; AUTHORIZING CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. James moved to amend the Ordinance to include the metes and bounds in the Ordinance. Mrs. Norris seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, James, Norris, Stokes, Tarbutton NAY: Cavazos The City Secretary then read the metes and bounds to be included in the Ordinance. Mrs. Norris moved to adopt the Ordinance on third and final reading. Mr. James seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, James, Norris, Stokes, Tarbutton NAY: Cavazos The Mayor Pro-Tern introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption of which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A CONTIGUOUS TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 189 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT; GRANTING TO THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
