<br />74 <br /> <br />regular meeting <br /> <br />february 9, 1981 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro-Tern introduced for consideration an Ordinance on second <br />reading, the caption of which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES <br />AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE <br />ZONING OF 1 ACRE OUT OF THE A.W. WITHERS SUBURBAN SUBDIVISION <br />LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF RANCH ROAD 12 AND BISHOP ST., FROM <br />"R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "C" (COHMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading. <br />Tarbutton seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro-Tern introduced for consideration a public hearing on <br />application of Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) for rate increase <br />within the City of San Marcos. The Mayor Pro-Tern then opened the public <br />hearing. Don Butler, attorney retained by the City, addressed the Council <br />on the proposed increase. A copy of the changes is attached and made a <br />part of these minutes. No one else wished to speak either for or against <br />the proposed increase. The Mayor Pro-Tern then closed the public hearing. <br />The Mayor Pro-Tern then introduced for consideration an Ordinance on <br />first reading setting rates for electric service provided by LCRA within <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, read in its entirety, the caption of which <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING RATE SCHEDULES TO BE CHARGED BY LOWER <br />COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SUCH RATE SCHEDULES, <br />PROVIDING CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SUCH RATE SCHEDULES MAY <br />BE CHANGED, MODIFIED, AMENDED OR WITHDRAWN AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. James moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading. <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Tarbutton <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro-Tern introduced for consideration a public hearing on <br />changing the zoning of 45.70 acres out of the J.M. Veramendi League No. <br />Two, located on I.H. 35 North, from "D" (Multi-Family), "M II (Mixed) <br />and "C" (Commercial) to "C" (Commercial) and "I" (Industrial). The <br />Mayor Pro-Tern then opened the public hearing. No one wished to speak <br />either for or against the proposed zoning change. The Mayor Pro-Tern then <br />closed the public hearing. Mr. James moved to continue the hearing and <br />first reading until the February 23rd meeting. Mr. Tarbutton seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />first reading on changing the zoning of 2.907 acres out of the Charles <br />Davis Tract, located on LBJ Drive, from IR-2" (Duplex Dwelling District) <br />to "D" (Multi-Family Dwelling District). No one wished to speak either <br />for or against the proposed zoning change. Mrs. Norris then <br />closed the public hearing. The City Secretary read the Ordinance in its <br />entirety, the caption of which follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY.OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES <br />AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 30, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE <br />ZONING OF 2.907 ACRES OUT OF THE CHARLES DAVIS TRACT, LOCATED <br />ON LBJ DRIVE, FROM IR-2" (DUPLEX DWELLING DISTRICT) TO liD" <br />(MULTI-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT). <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading. Mr. James <br />seconded the motion.
