<br />82 <br /> <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS <br /> <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> <br />This AGREEMENT is made this the e2......."f/k day of '--I]/{ a.~_ t1'~,--) , <br />19 q~~ , between the CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, hereinafter referred to <br />as "OWNER", 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666, and JEFFREY H. <br />KESTER AND ASSOCIATES, hereinafter referred to as 11 ARCHITECT", for <br />architectural services in connection with a warehouse facility for the <br />San Marcos Electric Utility, San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: OWNER and ARCHITECT do hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1 <br />ARCHIUC".r'S SERVICES AIm RESPOHSIBILITIES <br /> <br />1.1 ARCHITECT shall provide architectural, structural, mechanical and <br />electrical design, construction documents, assistance with bidding and <br />contract administration for a single story metal warehouse facility <br />with offices, approximately 3,600 square feet in area, for the San <br />Marcos Electric Utility as well as the preparation of plans and <br />technical specifications related to the Project. <br /> <br />1.2 STAlmARDS OF PERFORMANCE In the performance of all services in <br />connection with this Agreement, the ARCHITECT shall use that degree of <br />care and skill ordinarily exercised for similar projects by architects <br />licensed to practice in the State of Texas. <br /> <br />1.3 PRE-DESIGH PHASE ARCHITECT shall provide measurements of the <br />existing building site that relate to the Project, as required, and <br />measured drawings of the Project area. <br /> <br />1.4 DESIGH DEVELOPMENT PHASE Based op the Schematic Design Documents <br />and any adjustments authorized by the OWNER in the Project budget, and <br />ARCHITECT's pre-design work, the ARCHITECT shall prepare, for review <br />and approval by the OWNER, Design and Construction Documents to fix and <br />describe the size and character of the entire Project as to <br />architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, <br />materials, and such other elements as may be appropriate, including: <br /> <br />1. Preliminary design of floor plan and exterior elevations for <br />OWNER's review. <br />2. Revisions as required and development of design for OWNER's <br />review and approval. <br />3. Finished construction drawings, to include: <br />A. Site plan of area adjacent to the Project <br />B. Floor Plan and Room Finish Schedule <br />C. Door and Window Drawings and Schedules <br />D. Exterior Elevations <br />E. Interior Elevations, as required <br />F. Construction Details, Cabinet Drawings <br />G. Engineered Structural Foundation and Framing <br />H. Engineered Mechanical Drawings <br />I. Engineered Electrical Drawings <br />
