<br />sections. <br /> <br />c. Hydrant bonnet assembly shall be provided with a <br />lubrication reservoir that automatically circulates <br />lubricant to all operating stem threads and bearing <br />surfaces each time the hydrant is operated. <br />Downward stern travel shall be limited by a travel <br />stop located in the upper housing of the hydrant. <br /> <br />d. Hydrant nozzles shall consist of two (2) hose <br />nozzles and one (1) pumper nozzle and shall be <br />field replaceable without special tools. Threading <br />of nozzles and shape of operating nut to be <br />National Standard or conform to existing details <br />already established. <br /> <br />e. The hydrant will be of the traffic IIbreakawayll type <br />with safety stem coupling and breakable flange that <br />permits full 360 degree rotation of the nozzle <br />section. <br /> <br />f. An all bronze seat ring shall thread directly into <br />an all bronze drain ring to form an all bronze <br />drainway, and shall be located between the lower <br />barrel and base. No tubular bushed drains will be <br />allowed in the base of the hydrant. A minimum of <br />two (2) drain ports and two (2) drain outlets shall <br />be required. <br /> <br />g. The operating stern, coupling, and the main valve <br />assembly shall be capable of withstanding an <br />application of 200 ft./lb. of torque against either <br />the full open or closed position with no danage to <br />components. <br /> <br />h. Friction losses through the hydrant shall not <br />exceed 2.5 psi at 1000 gpm (through a 4-1/411 pumr;er <br />connection) when flow tested in accordance with <br />section 5 of AWWA C502-80, as evidenced by a <br />certified friction loss graph from the manufacturer <br />and applicable to the specific model to te <br />furnished. Flow testing shall be conducted by an <br />independent testing laboratory on a prcduction <br />hydrant and pressure drops shall be established by <br />that laboratory. All hydrants will be shop tested <br />in accordance with AWWA C502, latest revision. <br /> <br />16. Item #16: quantity - 11 ea., tapping saddles, 8" x I" <br /> <br />a.
