<br />NEW ISSUE <br /> <br />OFFICIAL STATEMENT <br /> <br />Dated March 23,1992 <br /> <br />In the opinion of Bond Counsel, interest on the Bonds will be excludable from gross income for federal income tax purposes <br />under existing law, subject to the matters described under "Tax Exemption" here.in, including the alternative minimum tax on <br />corporations. <br /> <br />$1,050,000 <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />(Hays County) <br />WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM <br />REVENUE BONDS, NEW SERIES 1992 <br /> <br />Dated: April 1, 1992 <br /> <br />Due: January 1, as shown below <br /> <br />Interest on the $1,050,000 City of San Marcos, Texas (the "City") Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, New Series <br />1992 (the "Bonds") will accrue from the dated date as shown above and will be payable January 1 and July 1 of each year, <br />commencing January 1, 1993, and will be calculated on the basis of a 36O-day year of twelve 30-day months. The definitive <br />Bonds will be issued only as fully registered bonds in the denomination of S5,OOO or any integral multiple thereof. <br /> <br />These Bonds were authorized at an election held on April 7, 1984, and will constitute special obligations of the City, as provided <br />in the ordinance authorizing the Bonds (the "Ordinance") (see" Authority for Issuance"). <br /> <br />The Bonds are issued pursuant to the general laws of the State of Texas, particularly Articles 1111, et scq., V ATCS, and an <br />ordinance (the "Ordinance") passed by the City Council, and are. special obligations of the City payable, both as to principal <br />and interest, solely from and secured by a subordinate lien on and pledge of the Net Revenues of the City's Waterworks and <br />Sewer System. ("Moody's") and "A-" by Standard &; Poor's Corporation ("S&.P"). Requests for ratings for the Bonds have been made <br />to both rating services (see "Ratings"). <br /> <br />The Bonds are offered for delivery when, as and if issued and received by the purcbaser(s) and subject to the approving opinion <br />of the Attorney General of the State of Texas and of Hutchison Boyle Brooks &; Fisher, a Profesaional Corporation, Bond <br />Counsel, Austin, Texas. The legal opinion will be printed on the Bonds (see Appendix C, "Form of Bond Counsel's Opinion"). <br /> <br />It is expected that the Bonds will be eligible for delivery through the Depository Trust Company ("DTC"). It will be the <br />obligation of the purchaser of the Bonds to complete and file the DTC Eligibility Questionnaire. <br /> <br />Delivery: Anticipated on or about May 26, 1992 <br />
