<br /> 19 <br /> FACILITIES MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br />1. Parties: The City of San Marcos, Texas, a Texas <br />municipal corporation (the "City") and Southwest Texas State <br />University (the "University"), each acting through its duly <br />authorized representative. <br />2. Recitals: <br />a. The University has contracted with the San Antonio <br /> Riders, a World Football League team (the "Riders") for <br /> the conducting of the Riders. home games for the 1992 <br /> Season at the fac il i ties owned by the University known <br /> as Bobcat Stadium: and, <br />b. The Riders' home games are expected to be attended by <br /> approximately 5Ø,ØØØ - lØØ,ØØØ out-of-town persons and a <br /> large press contingent, and to directly and indirectly <br /> stimulate tourism and tourist activities in the City: <br /> and, <br />c. The City wishes to assist the University in the <br /> maintenance of the facilities of the University used by <br /> the Riders and by the public in connection with the <br /> Riders' 1992 homes games: and, <br />d. The City, in providing funding for this agreement, <br /> directs an expenditure of Hotel-Motel Tax Revenue in <br /> accordance with its duly adopted budget for the 1991-92 <br />
