Two (2) copies of this report <br /> will be provided to the CITY and one (1) copy will be provided to the <br /> FAA. <br /> 1.3.8 The CONSULTANT shall prepare a "Construction Materials Quality <br /> Control Plan" to be submitted to the FAA for approval at the time the <br /> final plans and specifications are submitted. At a minimum, the plan <br /> shall list all materials to be tested during construction, the <br /> appropriate time for testing, the ASTM test designation, ( the name by <br /> which the test is commonly referred) and the frequency of testing <br /> required. The plan will be reviewed by the FAA project manager and <br /> must be approved along with the final plans and specifications for <br /> construction. <br /> 1.4 PHASE 3 - ADHIBISTRATIOB OF COBSftUC"rIOB <br /> Upon approval by the CITY and the FAA of the construction plans, <br /> specifications, and contract documents, Phase 3 of this AGREEMENT will <br /> commence, and the CONSULTANT shall perform Administration of <br /> Construction, as follows: <br /> 1.4.1 Assist the CITY in the advertisement of the Project for bids. <br /> 1.4.2 Assist the CITY in holding a pre-bid conference. <br /> 1.4.3 Assist the CITY in filing documents required for the approval of <br /> governmental authorities having jurisdiction over the Project and <br /> assist the CITY in the preparation of the formal construction Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> 1.4.4 Assist in obtaining bids, opening bids, tabulating bids, and in <br /> awarding the contract for construction. The CONSULTANT shall assist <br /> the CITY in reviewing the Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, <br /> financial statements of bidders (if required), lists of bidders' <br /> proposed subcontractors, and shall make a written recommendation to <br /> CITY regarding award of bid. CONSULTANT shall also answer all <br /> questions of prospective or potential bidders and shall make all <br /> necessary clarifications and interpretations of the contract <br /> documents. However, CONSULTANT shall have no authority to issue a <br /> Notice To Proceed to the Contractor. <br /> -5- <br />
