According to Senate Bill No. 1477 all of the contracts <br /> of the District are to be transferred to the new Authority. A portion of that bill is <br /> attached for your review. Although that bill was challenged in court, the Texas <br /> Supreme Court issued an opinion on June 28, 1996 upholding the 1993 state <br /> legislation.
