by the ENGINEER for additional services are remote and will necessarily refer only to substantial deviations from the scope of services described in the Agreement or in the ENGINEER's proposal for engineering services to the CITY. Additional services shall be provided only if authorized or confirmed in writing by the CITY, and compensation shall be in addition to that specified for basic services, in accordance with Section 11.2 of this Agreement. AR".rI CLR 2 THE CITY"S RESPONSIBILITIES 2.1 The CITY shall provide full information regarding requirements for the Project. Such information will include the CITY's design objectives, constraints and criteria, special equipment and systems and site requirements. 2.2 The CITY shall designate a representative authorized to act in the CITY's behalf with respect to the Project. The CITY and/or such authorized representative shall examine the documents submitted by the ENGINEER and shall render responses pertaining thereto promptly and provide ENGINEER with requested data or information in the CITY's possession relating to the Project. 2.3 The CITY shall provide access to and make all necessary provisions for the ENGINEER to enter upon public and private property as required for the ENGINEER to perform its services under this Agreement. 2.4 The CITY shall furnish geotechnical, structural, mechanical, chemical, soils and other laboratory tests, inspections and reports as required by law or as reasonably needed by the ENGINEER. The ENGINEER shall not be held responsible for its reliance on any such information supplied by CITY provided that ENGINEER does not know or reasonably cannot be expected to know of any deficiency or error in such information supplied by CITY. 2.5 The CITY shall furnish all legal, accounting and insurance counseling services as may be necessary at any time for the Project. 2.6 The CITY shall furnish required information and services and
