Janis Hendrix, Community Initiatives Program Administrator, provided a presentation regarding <br />the 2013 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Funding worksheet is attached for <br />review. <br />5. Invocation <br />A moment of silence was observed. <br />6. Pledges of Allegiance - United States and Texas <br />Aidan Cape, a 5 1 grade student at Hernandez Elementary led the pledges. <br />7. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Amy Stanfield, 2268 Summit Ridge, addressed the Council regarding the Gas Lamp Project. <br />She believes that it is a good project and thanked the Council for taking the time to consider <br />projects like this. <br />Elena Duran, 11.33 Lago Vista, addressed the Council regarding the Gas Lamp project and spoke <br />in favor of the project and listed a series of benefits. She also addressed the Council regarding <br />the proposed mini -skate park in the Hills of Hays subdivision. She was not made aware of this <br />being considered of this in their park. She stated she was neither for nor against it, but doesn't <br />feel it was a fair for the neighborhood to not have a voice. <br />Richard Howser, 709 Crystal Cove, addressed that Council regarding the proposed mini -skate <br />park in the Hills of Hays subdivision He stated that there is a fraction of the neighborhood that is <br />for it and he does not want to see it added. <br />John F. Landau, 401 Hughson Dr, addressed the Council regarding the issue of no parking on <br />Hughson Dr and would like the Council to consider another alternative. It is creating a hardship <br />for him to have guests over at his home. <br />Marla Johnson, Hays Caldwell Women's Center, addressed the Council and asked for the <br />Council's positive consideration for the funding of the center via CDBG funds. <br />Maggie Hutchins, 1116 Lago Vista, addressed the Council regarding the mini -skate park and <br />asked that the Council approve this funding in the Hills of Hays neighborhood park. She listed <br />the benefits to her family and the others in the neighborhood by having this amenity close by. <br />Nathalie Cantu, 1113 Lago Vista, addressed the Council regarding the mini -skate park funding in <br />the Hills of Hays Neighborhood and asked that the Council fund this amenity. <br />Mark Estrada, San Marcos, addressed the Council regarding the mini -skate park and how excited <br />he was to hear about this new possibility for this neighborhood. He asked that the Council to <br />positively consider the funding of this item. <br />
