<br /> 3 <br /> Regular Meeting February 28, 1983 Page 3 <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of an Ordin- <br /> ance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF <br /> AN ALLEY LOCATED ADJACENT TO LOTS 103, 104, 117 AND <br /> 118 IN BLOCK 12 OF THE WESTOVER ADDITION TO SAID <br /> CITY, PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID <br /> LAND AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final read- <br /> ing and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption wh~ch was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCO S, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT OF LEASE BETWEEN <br /> SAID CITY AND THE HAYS COUNTY WOMEN'S CENTER, INC., FOR <br /> PROVISION OF A SITE FOR THE SERVICES OF CENTER; AUTHOR- <br /> IZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT OF LEASE AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore se- <br /> conded the motion. Mr. Farr then moved to table the adoption of the <br /> Resolution until the metes and bounds description of the lease had <br /> been received and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br /> mously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, EXPRESSING INTENT TO PARTICIPATE IN <br /> A COMPREHENSIVE TRAFFIC ENGINEERING STUDY IN THE <br /> EVENT THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS RECEIVES A GRANT <br /> FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC <br /> TRANSPORTATION. <br /> Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Brown se- <br /> conded the motion. George Boeker stated if the grant in the amount of <br /> $21,000 was approved, the study would be totally at the State's expense. <br /> The Council voted unanimously to approve the Resolution. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of a proposed pay <br /> plan for the Fire and Police Departments to be included in the City's <br /> compensation plan. Mrs. Norris moved for approval of its inclusion <br /> and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of award of bid <br /> on Victory Gardens Sidewalks Phase II. Mr. Brown moved award of bid <br /> to J & S Excavation for $17,994.40 and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the mo- <br /> tion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of award of bid <br /> on manhole forms. Mr. Brown moved to award bid to ICM, Inc. in the <br /> amount of $5,982.00 and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of award of bid <br /> on two sewage pumps and a duplex electrical panel control. Mrs. Norris <br /> moved to award bid to Pump and Power Equipment Company in the amount <br /> of $5,848.00 and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br /> mously. George Boeker stated the two low bids did not meet our speci- <br /> fications. <br />
