<br /> Cf/Pll G- <br /> placed on unpaid leave in excess of thirty (30) calendar days will have his/her vacation benefit <br /> for that year reduced on a pro-rata basis (See Page 19 - Section 4.25 Leave of Absense <br /> without Pay and Section 4.30:B,C - Disability Leave of Absence - Compensation). <br /> B. Use: <br /> Vacation Leave will be scheduled as follows: <br /> 1. Schedule leave in advance with supervisor according to approved department <br /> policy. <br /> 2. Vacation leave should be requested and approved at least twenty-four (24) hours <br /> in advance. <br /> 3. Leave of more than a week in duration will be scheduled at least one week in <br /> advance. <br /> Use of vacation leave will be at the convenience of the employee if possible. However, use <br /> of vacation leave should not interfere with the normal functioning of City operations. Thirty- <br /> ~ <br /> five (35) days of vacation leave is the maximum any employee may use per fiscal year. An <br /> employee may not be granted vacation leave in excess of accumulated leave. Employees may <br /> not receive pay in lieu of vacation leave. Vacation leave is not transferable to another <br /> employee. Employees will be allowed to retain their vacation leave if they are reassigned, <br /> promoted, or demoted. <br /> I <br /> Section 4.55 - Sickness During Vacation Leave: <br /> An employee who becomes ill or is injured during his/her vacation time may request that time <br /> of illness or injury be charged to sick leave.
