<br /> 7 tl! ¡!: <br /> Section 4.45 - Parental Leave: <br /> In addition to physician authorized disability leave (See Page 19 - Section 4.30:C - <br /> Disability Leave of Absence), regular full and part time employees will be entitled to up to <br /> thirty (30) consecutive calendar days of parental leave at or near the birth or adoption of the <br /> employee's child. Accrued compensatory time, frozen holiday leave time, vacation leave <br /> and/or unpaid leave of absence may be used (in that order) to make up the parental leave. <br /> Written requests for parental leave must be made as soon as possible but at least ten (10) <br /> days prior to the anticipated date of leave except in emergency situations. A request for <br /> parental leave must specify the length of leave requested. All requests for parental leave must <br /> be approved by the supervisor and the department director. <br /> .",. <br /> Section 4.50 - Vacation: <br /> " <br /> Vacation time provides employees with an opportunity to rest, relax, and refresh <br /> themselves, which benefits both the employee and the City.
