When a customer has had a minimum of three (3) years <br /> consecutive service and during the last twentY-four (24) <br />i consecutive months of service did not have more than two (2) <br />I occasions in which a bill for such utility service was paid <br />! after becoming delinquent, the San Marcos Electric Utility <br /> will refund the deposit to the customer in the form of cash <br /> or credit to the customer's bill or by surrendering the <br /> letter of ,credit, if'a lettèr of credit was posted. <br /> E. Deposits not Transferable <br /> Deposits are non transferable and will be refunded and/or <br /> applied to the final bill upon disconnection of service. <br /> - <br /> F. Records of Deposits <br /> (1) The city shall keep records to show: ~ <br /> (a) The name and address of each depositor and; <br /> (b) The amount and date of the deposits. <br /> (2) The city shall issue a receipt of deposit to each <br /> applicant from whom a deposit is received, and shall <br /> provide means whereby a depositor may establish claim if- <br /> the receipt is lost. <br /> (3) A record of each unclaimed deposit must be maintained <br /> for a least four (4) years, during which time the city <br /> shall make a reasonable effort to return the deposit. <br /> G. Refund of Deposit <br /> If service is not connected or after disconnection oÏ <br /> service, the City shall promptly and automatically refund the <br /> customer's deposit in excess of unpaid bills for service <br /> furnished. <br /> -42- <br />
