<br /> 2)Pt <br /> 1. 00 DEFINITIONS <br /> 1. 01 City - City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> 1. 02 Commodity - Material that can be sold in a spot or <br /> future market for processing and use or reuse. Each <br /> Commodity shall retain its own identity and be kept <br /> separate. <br /> 1. 03 Commodity Buyer - A buyer or processor, selected by <br /> Contractor pursuant to the Contract Documents, of <br /> Recyclable Materials delivered by Contractor. <br /> 1.04 Container - A receptacle designed for the purpose of <br /> curbside collection of Recyclable Materials. The <br /> receptacle shall be one made of fiberglass or plastic <br /> that has been accepted by other cities with experience <br /> in curbside recycling. If the City elects to <br /> experiment with newly designed types of recycling <br /> receptacles, the Contractor has the right to accept or <br /> reject any new design. <br /> 1. 05 Contract Documents - Contractor's Proposal, General <br /> Specifications, and any addenda or changes to the <br /> foregoing documents agreed to by the City and the <br /> Contractor. <br /> ~ <br /> 1. 06 Contractor - Browning-Ferris, Inc. <br /> 1. 07 Recyclable Material(s) - Those commodities which are <br /> collected by Contractor pursuant to the Contract <br /> Documents. The definition of Recyclable Materials is <br /> subject to change pursuant to Section 2.01(e) of these <br /> General Specifications. <br /> 1. 08 Residential Unit - A dwelling within the corporate <br /> limits of the City served by the City's Solid Waste <br /> Collection Contractor. ' <br /> 2.00 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 2.01 General <br /> (a) The work under this Contract shall consist of <br /> the items contained in the Proposal, including <br /> all the supervision, materials, equipment, labor <br /> and all other items necessary to complete said <br /> work in accordance with the Contract Documents. <br /> In the event of a flood, hurricane or other Act <br /> of God, the City may suspend Recyclable <br /> Materials collection and the Contractor and the <br /> City will negotiate the payment to be made to <br /> the Contractor. <br /> 18572 - 4 - <br />
