<br /> 2-)13 <br /> (b) It is the intent under this Contract for the <br /> Contractor to collect the following Commodities <br /> to be recycled by a sub-contractor who has <br /> experience in the business of processing and <br /> sale of Commodities. <br /> 1) Newsprint <br /> 2) Plastic (PET and HDPE) <br /> 3) Glass Containers <br /> 4) Aluminum Cans <br /> 5) Tin Cans <br /> 6) Used Motor Oil <br /> The Contractor will not be required to collect <br /> commingled Coæmoditioo or those Commodities <br /> which are mixed with garbage, trash and rubbish <br /> normally collected by sanitation crews. The <br /> Contractor will notify the City of any such <br /> addresses where the residents are so commingling <br /> Commodities and will tag the containers as being <br /> unacceptable for collection. <br /> (c) The Contractor shall use its best efforts to <br /> secure the recycling of all materials collected <br /> under this Contract, and not to dispose of the <br /> materials at a landfill. The Contractor shall <br /> be solely responsible for the ~marketing and <br /> disposal of all materials. <br /> (d) The Contractor may request approval of the City <br /> to eliminate a Commodity from the list of <br /> materials in Section 2.01(b) above, based upon <br /> the Contractor's inability to obtain the <br /> processing of the Commodity. The Contractor or <br /> the City- may request approval of the other to <br /> add a Commodity to the list of materials in <br /> Section 2.01 (b) based upon the ability to obtain <br /> the processing of ~he Commodity. Neither party <br /> may unreasonably withhold its approval of a <br /> request made hereunder by the other¡ however, <br /> the fees to be charged by the Contractor shall <br /> be subject to adjustment under Section 13.01(c) <br /> below. All such changes shall be by written <br /> amendment to this Contract. <br /> 2.02 Storms and Other Disasters - In case of a storm, flood, <br /> hurricane or other disaster or other Acts of God, the <br /> City shall grant the Contractor reasonable variance <br /> from regular schedules and routes. <br /> 2.03 Education Proqram. The Contractor shall provide a high <br /> level of cooperation with the City and its citizens in <br /> carrying out the collection of recyclable materials <br /> under this Contract. The Contractor shall conduct an <br /> education program consisting of the following: <br /> 18572 - 5 - <br />
