<br /> ;2Jc... <br /> (a) A personal visit by the Contractor's <br /> representative to each residential unit to <br /> deliver a recycling container, accompanied by <br /> the distribution of printed educational <br /> materials to inform customers of the types of <br /> materials that will be collected, ideas on how <br /> to place materials in recycling containers and <br /> their designated recycling day¡ <br /> (b) provision of employee(s) to educate the San <br /> Marcos community about recycling through the <br /> following: <br /> (1) At least ten (10) public speaking <br /> engagements in public and civic group <br /> meetings, during each year of this <br /> Contract¡ and <br /> (2) The conduct of an educational program <br /> including the distribution of printed <br /> materials for each student at each <br /> elementary and intermediate school within <br /> San Marcos at least once during each year <br /> of this Contract¡ and <br /> (c) The use of the local media to disseminate <br /> educational information at least~ once a month <br /> during the term of this Contract, through press <br /> releases, paid advertising, and/or public <br /> service announcements on radio and cable <br /> television. <br /> 2.04. Reports. The Contractor will provide the City with a <br /> quarterly report explaining the progress of the <br /> recycling program in the San Marcos community in <br /> narrative form, including a surmnary of educational <br /> activities conducted by the Contractor, and an <br /> accounting for all recyclable materials collected, <br /> broken down by Commodity and stating revenue amounts <br /> for marketing of each Commodity. The Contractor shall <br /> also provide the City with a monthly report of pickups <br /> by number and frequency. <br /> In addition, the following information shall be made <br /> available by the Contractor to the City upon request: <br /> (a) Route and schedule information. <br /> (b) Number, nature and disposition of complaints. <br /> 3.00 TYPE OF COLLECTION <br /> 3.01 Service Provided - Contractor shall provide curbside <br /> collection service for the collection of Recyclable <br /> 18572 - 6 - <br />
