<br /> 34 <br /> Regular Meeting March 28, 1983 Page 4 <br /> Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Farr <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS EXPRESSING INTENT TO PARTICIPATE IN A <br /> TRAFFIC SAFETY STUDY IN THE EVENT THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS RECEIVES A GRANT FROM THE TEXAS DE- <br /> PARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION; AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAN MARCOS TO SIGN AN APPLI- <br /> CATION (CONTRACT) FOR A STATE GRANT OF $21,000.00. <br /> Mr. Brown moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mrs. Norris <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mrs. Norris commented <br /> that gates were needed to slow the traffic down at the Guadalupe <br /> railroad crossing. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCO S, TEXAS, APPROVING A CERTAIN AMENDMENT TO AN <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT <br /> OF HEALTH FOR SERVICES PURSUANT TO THE SPECIAL SUPPLE- <br /> MENTAL FOOD PROGRAM FOR WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN <br /> (WIC); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO <br /> EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Farr <br /> seconded the motion. Irene Duncan and City Manager Gonzalez stated <br /> the financial reports will follow a new luideline, that it is simply <br /> a technical change. On roll call the fo lowing vote was recorded: AYE: <br /> Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Craddock, Norris; NAY: Moore; ABSTAIN: None. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF <br /> AN AGREEMENT OF LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AND MILLER AND MILLER AUCTIONEERS, FOR A PORTION <br /> OF SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> CONDUCTING AN AUCTION OF HEAVY EQUIPMENT; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT OF <br /> LEASE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Kreczmer <br /> seconded the motion. Mr. Farr moved our sanitation equipment be <br /> made available at this auction with the minimum bid set at the amount <br /> offered by BFI to start the auction (low bid), and Mrs. Norris seconded <br /> the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimous <br /> approval of the Resolution. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of a leasing <br /> policy for the Municipal Airport. During Council's discussion there <br /> was concern that the recommendations were too low. Mayor Craddock <br /> then moved that the matter go back to the Airport Commission for <br /> further consideration and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which <br /> passed unanimously. <br />
