<br /> 33 <br /> Regular Meeting March 28, 1983 Page 3 <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, GRANTING TO TRANSPORTATION ENTERPRISES, <br /> INCORPORATED, A FRANCHISE FOR FIVE (5) YEARS TO OPER- <br /> ATE AND MAINTAIN A MOTOR BUS SYSTEM FOR THE TRANSPOR- <br /> TATION OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS <br /> AND HIGHWAYS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, PURSUANT <br /> TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF THE <br /> STATE OF TEXAS, THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> AND THE CODES AND ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; <br /> SETTING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE OPERATION OF SAID <br /> TRANSPORTATION ENTERPRISE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> Mr. Farr moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and <br /> Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 29-123 OF THE CODE <br /> OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO ADD FOUR LOCATIONS WITH- <br /> IN SAID CITY AT WHICH PARKING SHALL BE PROHIBITED; <br /> DECLARING A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mrs. Norris moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading and Mr. <br /> Farr seconded the motion. Mrs. Norris then moved to amend the Ordin- <br /> ance under SECTION 1. Sec. 29-123. No parking. Comanche Street, <br /> "Both sides, from Hopkins Street to Hutchison Street, " and Mr. <br /> Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council <br /> then voted unanimous approval of the Ordinance on second reading. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of an Ordin- <br /> ance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING A MASTER PLAN FOR SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS; REPEALING THE 1970 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR <br /> SAID CITY; REQUIRING A PUBLIC HEARING PRIOR TO <br /> AMENDMENT OF THE MASTER PLAN AND DECLARING AN EF- <br /> FECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Ordinance on third and <br /> final reading and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion. Allen Efrussi <br /> of Freese and Nichols stated there would be a delay in the completion <br /> of the Master Plan until approximately April 25, 1983. Mrs. Norris <br /> then moved to table the adoption until April 25, 1983 and Mr. Farr <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br /> OF A COMPLIANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE <br /> TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID COMPLIANCE AGREE- <br /> MENT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- <br /> IVE DATE. <br />
