<br /> 3 <br /> poultry. <br /> (19) "Livestock use" means the use of water for drinking <br /> by or washing of livestock. "Livestock" means <br /> cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, poultry, horses, and <br /> game, domestic, exotic and other animals and birds, <br /> including zoo animals, used for commercial or <br /> personal purposes. <br /> (20) "Domestic use" means the use of water, other than <br /> uses in the Outdoor category, for personal needs or <br /> for household purposes, such as drinking, bathing, <br /> cooling, heating, cooking, sanitation or cleaning, <br /> whether the use occurs in a residence or in a <br /> commercial or industrial facility. <br /> (21) "Commercial and industrial uses" means the use of <br /> water integral to the production of primary goods <br /> and services provided by industrial or commercial <br /> facilities. Industrial facilities include <br /> facilities which perform such process-specific <br /> activities as cooling, oiler feed, cleaning and <br /> washing, pollution control, extraction and <br /> separation of desirable material from products and <br /> waste materials and the incorporation of water into <br /> final products. Commercial facilities include, but <br /> are not limited to, food service facilities, <br /> hotels, retail facilities and nursery operations. <br /> (22) "Makeup" means partial ref illing due to evaporative <br /> water loss and backwashing. <br /> (23) "Reused water" means water that has been recycled <br /> or reclaimed after it has been used for any <br /> beneficial purpose. <br /> (24) "Index well" means the Edwards Aquifer water level <br /> index well in San Antonio, Texas denoted as well <br /> AY-68-37-203 (J-17). <br /> Sec. 30-11. stage 1 (Aquifer Awareness) Water Use <br /> Restrictions. <br /> (a) The mayor or city manager is hereby authorized <br /> to implement Stage 1 (Aquifer Awareness) of the San <br /> Marcos Water Conservation Plan when the Aquifer level as <br /> measured in the index well is between 644 feet above mean <br /> sea level and 630 feet above mean sea level. The mayor <br /> or city manager is further authorized to terminate stage <br /> 1 (Aquifer Awareness) based upon an appropriate change in <br /> the water level of the index well. The order to <br /> implement and to terminate Stage 1 (Aquifer Awareness) <br /> shall be made by public announcement and shall be <br /> published at least one (l) time in a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the city. <br /> (b) The order of the mayor or city manager under this <br /> section may impose any or all of the following restrictions <br /> or conditions on the use of water as the circumstances may <br /> . <br /> requIre: <br /> (1) Landscape Irrigation: <br /> (A) Landscape watering with sprinklers <br /> between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. is prohibited. <br /> (B) Existing or new landscapes: <br /> (l) Watering with sprinklers is <br /> recommended to be done only once <br />
