68 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APRIL 25, 1983 PRESENT: Mayor Emmie Craddock Council Members Karl W. Brown * Gerald G. Farr Fred Guerra Betty Jane Kissler John A. Kreczmer Jaime Moore City Manager A. C. Gonzalez City Secretary Janis K. Womack City Attorney Barbara Jean Edwards Director of Finance Earl Williams Director of Public Works George Boeker City Planner Joe Garza Also Present: Olga Garza, Jeff Watkins, Jerri Martin, John McCrocklin, John Morrisset, Ada Burke, Lee Swift, Bill pryatel, Shirley Wickersham, Isom Hale, Harris Koch, John Anderson, Bob Brisiel, Pat Price, Jackie Matthys, Carl and Lunelle Anderson, Kelly Kilber, Jack Lindstrom, Vince VandeWalle, John Meeks, John Diaz, Joe Pacheco and others. Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held April 11, 1983. Mr. Brown moved to approve the minutes and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held April 18, 1983. Mr. Guerra moved to approve the minutes and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the fol- lowing vote was recorded: AYE: Guerra, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer, Moore. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Brown. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to fill a vacancy on the Central Texas Higher Education Authority. Mr. Moore nominated Ofelia Vasquez to fill the vacancy of Fred Guerra, whose term expires February, 1984, and Ms. Kissler seconded the mo- tion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to fill the v~cancy of Gloria Salazar on the Senior Citizens Advisory Board, whose term expires January, 1984. Mr. Guerra nominated Bob Brisiel, and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration confirmation of an appoint- ment to the Personnel Appeals Board. City Manager Gonzalez placed the name of Mary S. Tijerina for reappointment, said term to expire March, 1986, for the Council's consideration. Mr. Brown moved for the confirma- tion of Mary S. Tijerina and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of a Zoning Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: * Gerald G. Farr was not present at this meeting.
