<br /> For the purposes of this Contract, additional services will <br /> be considered to be all services not included in the basic <br /> contracted services as identified in Article l, excluding Sections <br /> 1.4 and 1.5 and those, if any, identified in Article l3 of this <br /> Contract. Additional services shall be provided by the Engineer <br /> if authorized or confirmed in writing by the Owner as provided in <br /> this Agreement, and compensation shall be in addition to that <br /> specified for basic services. Compensation for additional <br /> services shall be in accordance with Section l3.2.l of this <br /> Agreement. If the total amount of additional services is <br /> anticipated to exceed $5,000.00, the prior approval of the Owner's <br /> governing body shall be required. Additional services shall <br /> include but not be limited to the following potential work items: <br /> 1.4.1 Making revisions in plans, specifications or other <br /> documents when such revisions are inconsistent with written <br /> approvals or instructions previously given or are due to other <br /> causes not solely within the control of the Engineer. <br /> 1.4.2 Additional copies of construction contract drawings, <br /> specifications, and other construction contract documents other <br /> than those provided for in paragraph 1.1.1 hereof as a part of <br /> Basic Services. <br /> 1.4.3 Preparation of applications for the necessary highway <br /> and railroad right-of-way permits and highway and railroad <br /> crossing permits, except as specified in l.1.2 above. <br /> 1.4.4 Preparation and issuance of Addenda made necessary by <br /> Owner's requested changes or modifications which are inconsistent <br /> -10- <br />
