Other non-essential water uses are allowed but reasonable measures shall be taken <br />to limit usage. <br /> <br />5.2 Stage 1 <br />The following measures are In effect for any period when Stage 1 of the Drought <br />Response Plan has been implemented: <br />. Waste of water is prohibited. <br />. Irrigation with hose-end sprinklers and automatic sprinkler irrigation systems is <br />allowed only one day per week on the designated weel(day between the hours of <br />midnight to 10 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to midnight. <br />. Irrigation with hand-held bucket, hand-held hose, soal(er hose or drip irrigation <br />system is allowed on any day and at any time. <br />. Irrigation of golf courses, athletic fields and commercial nurseries is restricted as <br />follows: <br />o Irrigation of golf courses with sprinl(lers is allowed only one day per weel( on <br />the designated weekday between the hours of midnight to 10: 00 a.m. and 8: 00 <br />p.m. to midnight. <br />o Irrigation of athletic fields with sprinklers is allowed only one day per week <br />on the designated weekday between the hours of midnight to 10:00 a.m. and <br />8:00 p.m. to midnight. <br />o Irrigation of plants in inventory at commercial nurseries is allowed on any day <br />and at any time. <br />. Vehicle washing is restricted as follows: <br />o Charity car washes are prohibited unless held at a certified commercial car <br />wash. <br />o Non-commercial vehicle washing is allowed only on the designated weel(day <br />and must be done using a hand-held bucket or a hand-held hose equipped with <br />a positive shutoff device. <br />o Commercial vehicle washing is allowed on any day and at any time. <br />. Swimming pools located outdoors must have at least 25% of the water surface <br />area covered when not in use. <br />. Filling of new aesthetic water features is prohibited. <br /> <br />6 <br />
