Immediately contact telecommunication vendors and Telecommunication <br />Manager to obtain on -site support for damage assessment and restoration <br />activities. <br />8. Coordinate damage assessment activities with Facilities and Tech Structure to <br />evaluate the extent of damage to data and voice telecommunications: <br />8.1 PBX System(s) and peripherals; <br />8.2 Cable entrance facilities; <br />8.3 Building cabling and telephone closets; <br />8.4 Primary and secondary routing capabilities; <br />8.5 Data telecommunications equipment and lines. <br />9. Coordinate with Facilities and Tech Structure in developing an estimated time <br />frame for reconstruction of the normal communications. <br />10. Coordinate all voice and data communication recovery support activities. <br />10.1 Establish a liaison with all local and long distance carriers as needed. <br />11. Distribute available cellular phones and two -way radios to key recovery <br />personnel and senior management as needed; <br />12. Ensure that all "800" lines have been intercepted by a customized voice <br />recording if not functional; <br />13. Coordinate the acquisition of handsets with the Director of Operations if <br />necessary. <br />14. Notify the telecommunications vendor to re -route main company number to the <br />alternate operating location if necessary; <br />15. Depending upon business requirements, a special voice communications facility <br />(ACD, etc.) may need to be established. <br />16. Recover data circuits. <br />17. Coordinate with Tech Structure regarding the feasibility of establishing voice and <br />data communications capabilities within a timely manner at other potential <br />alternate facilities. <br />Things to consider: <br />17.1 Acquisition and installation of communication equipment; <br />17.2 Cable installation; <br />20 <br />
