<br /> proper implementation of the intent of the construction contract <br /> documents, and with the approval of the CITY, the ARCHITECT will have <br /> authority to require special inspection or testing of the work in <br /> accordance with the provisions of the construction contract documents, <br /> whether or not such work be then fabricated, installed or completed. <br /> The ARCHITECT shall monitor and review the work and results of all <br /> testing laboratories as required by the construction contract <br /> documents. <br /> 1.5.11 The ARCHITECT shall review and make all decisions regarding <br /> the approval or taking of other appropriate action upon each <br /> Contractor's submittals, including but not 1 imi ted to, Shop Drawings, <br /> Product Data and Samples, Schedule of Values and progress schedule. <br /> Such action shall be taken with reasonable promptness, but generally <br /> not to exceed fifteen (15) days or such period of time which will not <br /> cause delay of the Project. <br /> 1.5.12 The ARCHITECT shall prepare Change Orders for the CITY's <br /> approval and execution in accordance with the construction contract <br /> documents, but shall not issue change orders not previously approved in <br /> writing by CITY, and no course of conduct on the part of ARCHITECT or <br /> CITY shall act to amend, waive or alter this provision. <br /> 1.5.l3 The ARCHITECT shall conduct professional inspections to <br /> determine the Dates of Substantial Completion and final completion for <br /> each phase of the Project program, to evaluate the work for acceptable <br /> conformance with the construction contract documents and in light of <br /> any subsequent tests performed as described in Section l.5.9 hereof, to <br /> verify that any minor deviations from the construction contract <br /> documents as described in Section 1.5.9 hereof have been corrected and <br /> that the reasons for any specific qualifications in any and all <br /> previous Certificates For Payment as described in Section 1.5.9 hereof <br /> are either no longer valid or the condition(s) and/or problem(s) have <br /> been corrected; shall receive and review written warranties and related <br /> documents required by the construction contract documents and assembled <br /> by each Contractor; shall issue final Certificates for Payment or <br /> take other appropriate action; and shall make a written recommendation <br /> to CITY regarding CITY's acceptance of each phase of the Project. <br /> -11- <br />
