Executive Director <br />I <br />Texas Parks and Wildlife Department <br />4200 Smith School Road <br />Austin, Texas 78744 <br />Dear Mr. Smith: <br />U.& <br />FISIL & WILDLIFE <br />SERVICE <br />"F <br />The enclosed Application for Federal Assistance (AFA)., F I _3 )AP00667, TX E- 1.52 -L -1 Barker Tract <br />B -1 Recovery Land Acquisition, is approved for funding under the Endangered Species Grant <br />Program (CFDA4 15.6 15). The purpose of this grant is for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department <br />(the Department), as grantee, and the City of San Marcos, as subgrantee, to acquire in fee simple, less <br />minerals, the 92.73-acre Barker Tract B -1, and acquire as in-kind match the approximately 77-acre <br />Tract A in fee simple, less minerals and a conservation casement., in Hays County, Texas. These two <br />tracts conserve and protect habitat to benefit nine listed species, i.e., the golden-cheeked warbler <br />(Dentiroica chrysopuria), black-capped vireo (Vireo atricalfilla), San Marcos salamander (Eurycea <br />nana), Texas blind salamander (Eurycea rathbuni), fountain darter (Etheostoinafionticola) , San <br />Marcos gambusia (Gambusia georgei). Comal Springs riffle beetle (Ileterelmis conialensiv),, Comal <br />Springs drvopid beetle (Stygol)arnu5 comalensis), and Texas wild rice (Zizania texana). Title to this <br />interest in real property will vest the City of San Marcos., as subgrantee. The grant agreement period <br />is December 1, 20114 — Novembe• 30, 2015 with the approved cost share as follows: <br />Program SUbaccount Code — 5954 <br />Approved. Party <br />$ 729,551 <br />37 <br />Grant Total <br />$ 1,971,760 T <br />100 <br />An AFA amendment will be required to add or delete a prcJect, increase or decrease the Federal <br />funds, modify the agreement period, and/or change key personnel. <br />This grant award is subject to the following terms and coiiditioiis: <br />Z_ <br />a. Reporting requirements: <br />I ) Submit an Interim Federal Financial Report (SF 425) and an Interim Performance Report <br />annually, 90 days after the 1 -year anniversary of the end of the fourth full fiscal quarter <br />after the effective date of the grant. The interim reports (financial and performance) for <br />this (,rant will be due annually no later than March 31. The first interim report will cover <br />the period from December 1, 201.2 — December 31, 2013. Subsequent interim reports <br />will cover a 1 -year period from the end date of the first interim report. Submit these <br />reports to the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration (WSFR) Program, Southwest Region. <br />
