<br /> 29 <br /> Special Meeting June 15, 1983 Page 2 <br /> SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUN- <br /> DARIES; APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR SAID TRACT; <br /> EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS <br /> TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT; GRANTING TO THE INHABITANTS <br /> OF SAID TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER <br /> CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY <br /> ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS <br /> OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Farr moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading and Mr. <br /> Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Annexation <br /> Ordinance on second reading, which Ordinance was read in its entirety <br /> because it was not made available for the public's review at least <br /> 72 hours before its consideration at this meeting, the caption which <br /> was read as follows (Harper/Dupree): <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A CONTIGUOUS <br /> TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 96.709 ACRES OF LAND OUT <br /> OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI SURVEY LOCATED WITHIN THE EX- <br /> TRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING <br /> ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; APPROVING A <br /> SERVICE PLAN FOR SAID TRACT; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY <br /> LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT; <br /> GRANTING TO THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TRACT ALL THE <br /> RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; <br /> BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND OR- <br /> DINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY AND DE- <br /> CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Brown moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading and Mr. <br /> Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br /> OF M~ OPTION CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF RIGHT-OF-WAY <br /> AND EASEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND ROBERT ANDERSON <br /> CONCERNING 20 FEET OUT OF LOT 4 IN BLOCK 26 OF THE <br /> ORIGINAL TOWN OF SAN MARCOS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br /> OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID OPTION CONTRACT AND DE- <br /> CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Farr moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Kreczmer <br /> seconded the motion. City Attorney Barbara Edwards advised the <br /> Mayor should not execute the Resolution or Option Contract <br /> until the metes and bounds description had been supplied in the <br /> documents. Mr. Farr added this proviso to his motion and Mr. <br /> Kreczmer to his second. The Council voted unanimous approval of <br /> the Resolution. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of three appoint- <br /> ments to set up the organization of the Emergency Medical Service. <br /> Mr. Farr moved that all names submitted to the City Secretary prior <br /> to the meeting be placed in nomination: Tess Norris, Dr. W. R. Rogers, <br /> Nancy Ellis, Luciano Flores and Ruth Strandtmann. Mayor Craddock se- <br /> conded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
