<br />-3- <br />further the election or defeat of any candidate for public office <br />or any activity undertaken to influence the passage, defeat or <br />final content of legislation. <br />SECTION 9. Comoliance with Laws. PHS agrees to comply with <br />all applicable laws, ordinances, codes and regulations of the <br />local, state and federal governments including but not limited to <br />those laws, ordinances, codes and regulations pertaining to equal <br />employment opportunity and those pertaining to discrimination <br />against participants. wi th respect to the requirement of State law <br />that a contract for human services to the indigent entered into <br />between a City and a social services organization may not provide <br />for more than 50% of the annual budget of the organization to be <br />derived from City funds, PHS declares that at the time of the <br />execution of this agreement, funds to be provided herein do not <br />exceed 50% of the annual budget of PHS. In the event that such <br />funds do exceed 50% of the annual budget of PHS at any time during <br />which this contract is in effect, PHS agrees to notify City <br />immediately so that appropriate monetary adjustments to this <br />contract can be made to assure compliance with State Law. <br />SECTION 10. Breach of Contract. <br />A. If the City Manager of the City determines that the <br />activities as described in the human services funding application <br />attached hereto are not being carried out as approved by the City <br />or that PHS is in breach of any of the terms of this agreement, the <br />City Manager shall notify PHS in writing of the deficiency. PHS <br />shall have ten (10) working days from the date of the notice to <br />
