<br />116 <br /> <br />This AGREEMENT is made this the 15th day of October , <br />19 91, between the CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, hereinafter referred to <br />as "CITY", 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos r Texas 78666 rand HIDBLL <br />ARCHITECTS, 2811 Kc~inney, Suite 207, Dallas, Texas 75240, hereinafter <br />referred to as "ARCHITECT", for architectural services in connection <br />with the construction of a public library building to be located on a <br />3.5 acre tract of City-owned parkland within the Memorial Park Site on <br />East Hopkins Street. <br />WITNESSETH: OWNER and ARCHITECT do hereby agree as follows: <br />ARTICLE 1 <br />ARCHITECT"S SERVICES AND RESPORSIBILITIES <br />ARCHITECT shall be responsible for the proper, accurate and <br />adequate design and preparation of plans and specifications and other <br />construction contract documents and for contract administration for the <br />construction of a public library building to be located on a 3.5 acre <br />tract of City-owned parkland within the Memorial Park Site on East <br />Hopkins Street in San Marcos, Texas, hereinafter referred to as the <br />"Project. " <br />The CITY reserves the right to select an alternate site at any <br />time during the site analysis of the Project. Any provisions in this <br />Agreement pertaining to CITY's review, approval and/or acceptance of <br />plans, specifications, construction contract documents, or other <br />written materials prepared by ARCHITECT and/or its consultants, <br />contractors, and subcontractors in connection with this Project shall <br />not be deemed to diminish ARCHITECT's responsibili ty therefor. The <br />ARCHITECT's Basic Services shall consist of the following phases <br />described in Paragraphs 0.1 through 1.4 and include normal <br />architectural, structural, mechanical, civil and electrical engineering <br />services. Certain portions of the ARCHITECT's Basic Services are to be <br />performed through the following consulting disciplines as <br />subcontractors to the ARCHITECT: <br /> <br />(1 ) M/E/P <br />(2 ) Structural <br />(3 ) Landscaping <br />(4 ) Acoustic <br />
