Mr. Brown moved to ap- <br /> prove the minutes and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call <br /> the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer, Moore. <br /> NAY: None. <br /> ABSTAIN: Guerra. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes <br /> of the Special Meeting held August 1, 1983. Mr. Kreczmer moved to <br /> approve the minutes and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call <br /> the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Farr, Guerra, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer, Moore. <br /> NAY: None. <br /> ABSTAIN: Brown. <br /> Mayor Craddock advised the Council would receive the recommendation <br /> from the cowmittee formed to study desirability of granting tax exemp- <br /> tion to historic sites in the City. The Committee was appointed by <br /> Mayor Craddock at the direction of the Council and was composed of <br /> Aart Millecam from the Planning Commission, Joyce Glore from the <br /> Zoning Commission, N. A. Stedman of the Historical Commission and <br /> Barbara Edwards, City Attorney. The committee recommended no exemp- <br /> tion be given to anyone because of historical designation. Mr. Mil- <br /> lecam stated the committee reviewed the consequences of granting <br /> exemptions. The City now collects $26,000 from historical sites <br /> that we would lose in revenues if an exemption were granted, which <br />
