Womack <br /> City Attorney Barbara Jean Edwards <br /> Director of Finance Earl Williams <br /> Administrative and Public Services <br /> Director Dinah Elwell <br /> Chief of Police Myron Galchutt <br /> Fire Chief Oscar Carpenter <br /> City Planner Joe Garza <br /> Also Present: Charles Stone, Vince VandeWalle, Rodney Cobb, Daniel <br /> Brown, Henry Solis, Carl Deal, Richard Medina, Stephanie Langenkamp, <br /> Shirley Wickersham, Olga Garza, Gregg Echols, Jeff Watkins, Don Laine, <br /> Richard Chaney, Aart Millecam, Mo Johnson, Tom Allen, Joyce Glore, <br /> Jack Lindstrom, Lunelle Anderson, Joe Lucio, Jerry Sebek, Jerri <br /> Martin and others. <br /> Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes <br /> of the Regular Meeting held July 25, 1983. Mr. Brown moved to ap- <br /> prove the minutes and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call <br /> the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer, Moore. <br /> NAY: None. <br /> ABSTAIN: Guerra. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes <br /> of the Special Meeting held August 1, 1983. Mr. Kreczmer moved to <br /> approve the minutes and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call <br /> the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Farr, Guerra, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer, Moore. <br /> NAY: None. <br /> ABSTAIN: Brown. <br /> Mayor Craddock advised the Council would receive the recommendation <br /> from the cowmittee formed to study desirability of granting tax exemp- <br /> tion to historic sites in the City. The Committee was appointed by <br /> Mayor Craddock at the direction of the Council and was composed of <br /> Aart Millecam from the Planning Commission, Joyce Glore from the <br /> Zoning Commission, N. A. Stedman of the Historical Commission and <br /> Barbara Edwards, City Attorney. The committee recommended no exemp- <br /> tion be given to anyone because of historical designation. Mr. Mil- <br /> lecam stated the committee reviewed the consequences of granting <br /> exemptions. The City now collects $26,000 from historical sites <br /> that we would lose in revenues if an exemption were granted, which <br />
