<br /> 76 <br /> RESOLUTION 1991-158 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br /> CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY, <br /> THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND THE EDWARDS <br /> UNDERGROUND WATER DISTRICT FOR JOINT <br /> SPONSORSHIP OF A GUADALUPE-SAN ANTONIO RIVER <br /> BASIN WATER AVAILABILITY STUDY: AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CITY MANGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON <br /> BEHALF OF THE CITY: AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City, together with the City of Corpus <br />Christi (" Corpus Christi") and the Edwards Underground Water <br />District ("EUWD") are seeking specific information on the <br />availability of surface water in the Guadalupe-San Antonio <br />River Basin: and, <br /> WHEREAS, the EUWD has agreed to serve as a contracting <br />and coordinating agency for such a study to be jointly <br />sponsored by the City, Corpus Christi and the EUWD, with <br />funding participation to be determined by the City after <br />selection of a consultant and preparation of a scope of work: <br />now, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the terms and conditions of the agreement <br />attached to this Resolution between the City, Corpus Christi <br />and the EUWD for joint sponsorship of a Guadalupe-San Antonio <br />River Basin Water Availability Study are hereby approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley is <br />hereby authorized to execute this Agreement on behalf of the <br />City. <br /> PART 3.
