<br /> 77 <br />AGREEMENT FOR JOINT SPONSORSHIP OF <br />GUADALUPE - SAN ANTONIO WATER AVAILABILITY STUDY <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> } <br />COUNTY OF BEXAR <br />WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi, the City of <br />San Marcos, and the Edwards Underground Water district, <br />collectively referred to as Parties, wish to cooperate in a <br />joint study (the "Study") of the hydrology of the Guadalupe <br />- San Antonio River Basin; and <br />WHEREAS, the Edwards Underground Water District has <br />agreed to serve as the contracting and coordinating agency <br />for the Parties; and <br />WHEREAS, a consultant will be selected, a scope of <br />work prepared, and a contract with the consultant <br />negotiated prior to the determination of the total Study <br />cost and each Party's share of the Study cost; and <br />WHEREAS, each party seeks specific information on <br />the availability of surface water in the Guadalupe - San <br />Antonio river basin for a particular need. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereto agree and <br />covenant as follows: <br /> I <br />The Parties will jointly select a qualified <br />consultant ("Consultant") to conduct the Study. <br /> II <br />The Parties will prepare a scope of work for the <br />Study and negotiate a contract with the Consultant. <br />Changes to the scope of work after the Study has <br />begun may be made by any Party to address that <br />Party's particular needs. The Parties will <br />participate in all progress meetings with the <br />Consultants. <br />
