This letter will confinn our understanding of that engagement. <br /> <br />The City has provided us with the grant agreement from the Texas Department of Commerce for <br />$160,000, and the contract between the City and Environmental Projection Systems. Based on our <br />review of these agreements and conversations with the Texas Department of Commerce, we have <br />identified various procedures that we will apply to the accounting records of Environmental <br />Projection Systems. See Attachment 1 for procedures to be perfonned. <br /> <br />Our fees for services are based on the amount of time required to perfonn the agreed scope of work, <br />plus reimbursement for expenses (report reproduction, postage, computer charges, supplies, travel, <br />etc.) This estimate is based on the assumption that infonnation and documents requested by us will <br />be supplied by Environmental Projection Systems on a timely basis and that the infonnation and <br />documents can be located. <br /> <br />Should unexpected problems arise which will cause the time to materially exceed our estimate, we <br />will discuss such matters with you and obtain your approval before incurring additional time. Based <br />upon these factors, we estimate our fees for the procedures described above will not exceed $6,500 <br />including our out-of-pocket expenses. If problems are encountered during the course of our work <br />which would require professional effort beyond that anticipated, we will infonn the City prior to <br />incUIring the time, <br /> <br />If this letter sets forth arrangements satisfactory with you, please sign and return to us the second <br />copy of this letter.
