<br /> 1l6 <br /> Regular Meeting September 12, 1983 Page 4 <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of an Ordin- <br /> ance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING A 60-DAY MORATORIUM ON <br /> THE PROCESSING OF APPLICATIONS FOR SPECIFIC USE PER- <br /> MITS AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS FOR ESTABLISHMENTS <br /> DESIRING TO DISPENSE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WITHIN THAT <br /> AREA KNOWN AS THE CENTRAL BUSINESS AREA OF SAID CITY <br /> BEYOND BEING ACCEPTED FOR FILING AND ESTABLISHING AN <br /> EMERGENCY. <br /> Mayor Craddock moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and <br /> Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Farr then moved to amend the <br /> Ordinance for a 30-day moratorium rather than 60-day moratorium and <br /> Mayor Craddock seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote <br /> was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer. <br /> NAY: Guerra, Moore. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br /> The Council then voted for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. On <br /> roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer. <br /> NAY: Guerra, Moore. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br /> The morat~rium.will rema~ effective ~ntil October 16, 1983 (2nd morator- <br /> lum perlo explres Septe er 16, 1983 .
