<br /> 3 <br /> Regular Meeting October 10, 1983 Page 3 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br /> OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER <br /> 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 2.60 <br /> ACRES OF LAND IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. ONE, <br /> HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING A PART OF 219.07 ACRES <br /> DESCRIBED IN A DEED FROM W. C. CARSON TO SAN MARCOS <br /> BUSINESS ~ARK BY DEED DATED JUNE 3, 1983 AND RECORDED <br /> IN VOLUME 394, PAGE 895, HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, <br /> A/K/A 201 WONDER WORLD DRIVE, FROM "LI" (LIGHT IN- <br /> DUSTRIAL DISTRICT) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT). <br /> Mayor Craddock asked if anyone wished to speak in favor of the zoning <br /> request. Jim Byrn addressed the Council on behalf of the owner of the <br /> property, J. Tapp. The Council raised concerns of ingress and egress <br /> and who pays for the increased traffic. Mr. Byrn reviewed a plan for <br /> the development of the area. No one else wished to speak in favor or <br /> in opposition to the zoning change, so Mayor Craddock closed the public <br /> hearing. Mr. Kreczmer moved for approval of the Zoning Ordinance on <br /> first reading and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the fol- <br /> lowing vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer, Moore. <br /> NAY: Guerra. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br /> Mayor Craddock opened a public hearing to consider approval of a Zoning <br /> Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF <br /> BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, <br /> 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 6.03 ACRES <br /> OF LAND IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. ONE, HAYS <br /> COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING A PART OF THAT 2l9 ~7 ACRES <br /> DESCRIBED IN A DEED FROM W. C. CARSON TO SAN MARCOS <br /> BUSINESS PARK BY DEED DATED JUNE 3, 1983, AND RECORD- <br /> ED IN VOLUME 394, PAGE 895 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RE- <br /> CORDS, LOCATED OFF WONDER WORLD DRIVE (A PROPOSED STREET <br /> TO BE NAMED TAPP DRIVE), FROM "Op" (OFFICE PROFESSIONAL <br /> DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT). <br /> Mayor Craddock asked if anyone wished to speak in favor of the zoning <br /> request. Jim Byrn said he was representing the owner and would answer <br /> any questions the Council may have. No one else wished to speak in <br /> favor or in opposition to the zoning request, so Mayor Craddock closed <br /> the public hearing. Mr. Kreczmer moved to approve the Ordinance on <br /> first reading and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the <br /> following vote was recorded (Mr. Brown was present to vote on this): <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer, Moore. <br /> NAY: Guerra. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br />
