<br /> -3- <br /> and to require that a public hearing on the subdivision <br /> ordinance be held at least once each three years rather than <br /> annually. <br /> Votes for Proposition No. 4: 1372 <br /> Votes against Proposition No. 4: i:)ih <br /> <br /> Proposition No. 5 <br /> The amendment of Section 12.Ø2 of the City Charter to allow <br /> service as city officers, other than city council members, by <br /> persons who do limited amounts of business with the city; and <br /> clarifying the prohibition against city council members and <br /> employees having interests in contracts with the City. <br /> Votes for Proposition No.5: 1375 <br /> Votes against Proposition No. 5: 612 <br /> Proposition No. 6 <br /> The lease to the San Marcos Lions Club of the storage and <br /> bathroom portions of the recreation building in the San <br /> Marcos City Park, together with access through the adjacent <br /> parking lot, for the purpose of conducting an inner tube <br /> rental operation subject to the following terms and <br /> conditions: <br /> (1) The Lions Club shall have possession of the Leased <br /> Premises and access through the parking lot <br /> adjacent to the leased premises, for the purpose of <br /> conducting an inner tube rental operation on the <br /> San Marcos River, from April 11, 1991, through <br /> April lØ, 1996, together with three (3) consecutive <br /> five (5) year renewable options to continue this <br /> lease in favor of the Club, to commence, if <br /> exercised, on April 11, 1996, April 11, 2ØØl, and <br /> April 11, 2ØØ6, respectively. The exercise of each <br /> of such options shall be subject to the approval of <br /> the City Council. <br /> (2) The Lions Club shall maintain the Leased Premises <br /> as four (4) storage rooms (one of which shall be <br /> usable for storage by the City Parks and Recreation <br /> Department as needed) and two bathrooms. <br /> ( 3) The Lions Club shall paint the exterior of the <br /> Leased Premises every two (2) years, and shall <br /> paint the interior of the storage portions of the <br /> building every fifth (5th) year, and shall paint <br /> the bathrooms every year. In the event the City <br /> paints the exterior of the remaining portions of <br /> the recreation building more often than every two <br /> ( 2) years, the Lions Club shall paint the exterior <br /> of its portions of the building at least as often <br /> as the City. <br /> (4) The Lions Club shall pay all lighting and heating <br /> costs attributable to the Leased Premises. <br /> ( 5) The Lions Club shall keep the Leased Premises in a <br /> clean condition, shall provide assistance to the <br /> City in the regular cleaning of the area adj acent <br /> to the recreation building, including the picnic <br /> area and parking lot, and will also assist in the <br /> cleanup of the San Marcos River in and around the <br /> park area. <br /> (6) The City shall continue to maintain those areas of <br /> City Park not specifically granted to the Lions <br /> Club for its sale or joint maintenance. <br />
