That the the official canvass of the returns <br /> of the election reflects the following: <br /> A. That the official canvass of the returns of the election <br /> reflects that the following person was duly elected <br /> Mayor of the City of San Marcos: <br /> Kathy M. Morris <br /> B. That the official canvass of the returns of the election <br /> reflects that the following person was duly elected City <br /> Council Member, Place Three of the City of San Marcos: <br /> Rick Hernandez <br /> C. That the official canvass of the returns of the election <br /> reflects that the following person was duly elected City <br /> Council Member, Place Four, of the City of San Marcos: <br /> Betty Jane Kissler <br /> D. That the official canvass of the returns of the election <br /> reflects the following votes cast for and against the <br /> following numbered propositions: <br /> Proposition No. 1 <br /> The amendment of Section 3.Ø6 of the City Charter to provide <br /> a chain of authority for the calling of elections to fill <br /> vacancies on the City Council. <br /> Votes for Proposition No.1: 1779 <br /> Votes against Proposition No. 1: 247 <br /> Proposition No. 2. <br /> The amendment of Section 5.øa of the City Charter to conform <br /> the oath of office for city officials to that prescribed by <br /> the Texas Constitution for state officers. <br /> Votes for Proposition No.2: 1819 <br /> Votes against Proposition No. 2: 160 <br /> Proposition No. 3 <br /> <br /> The amendment of Section 7.Øl of the City Charter to separate <br /> provisions pertaining to the composition of the Planning <br /> Commission from those pertaining to the Zoning Commission; to <br /> allow representation on the Planning Commission by residents <br /> of the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction; and to delete a <br /> provision allowing dual service on both the Planning and <br /> Zoning commissions by as many as two persons. <br /> Votes for Proposition No.3: 1524 <br /> Votes against Proposition No. 3: 385 <br /> Proposition No. 4 <br /> The amendment of Section 7.Ø6 of the City Charter to more <br /> clearly define the duty of the Planning Commission to submit <br /> recommendations to the City Council on development proposals; <br /> to allow for review of the Master Plan once each three years <br /> instead of requiring an annual report to the City Council; <br />
